Online checkin does not show my flights for tomorrow.

It seems to have a problem when you have already done online checkin for a flight the previous day, and it fails to show flights for the next day.

I have waited another day to check in so that it is 24 hours before my flight. hmmmm

The flight is not ex WA so it should be available for check in.

Interestingly enough, I checked in for my one-way flight on Thursday afternoon (for a Friday morning departure) and when I printed out the boarding pass, it printed not only a boarding pass for the flight I had booked, but also a return flight - one that I hadn't actually booked.

Needless to say, when at the gate, my boarding pass for the flight I was supposed to be on was rejected.

Sounds like some gremlins in the OLCI process.

I think i figured it out.

I had booked a domestic multi city eticket.

Online check in worked 24 hours before the first flight.

PER-ADL 09.45
ADL-MEL 06.05
MEL-PER 19.40

The ADL-MEL flight was the day after the PER-ADL flight. I could not check in 24 hours before. It only worked after the PER-ADL sector had been flown.

cough right??? I woke up early as well so I could online check in....

Also, the MEL-PER flight was not shown when i checked in for ADL-MEL, even though it was on the same day.

Must be the multi city booking tool... hmmm

I have 2 flights tomorrow

ADL-BNE QF660 at 0615 and then BNE-PER QF767 at 19:50

so long day is coming up and tried to check-in for both flights this evening - as they were both within 24 hours and second flight would not appear, so am potentially disadvanted in allocation !

That's often the way it works. Perhaps you can use Quick-Check for the PER flight when you arrive in BNE.

I'm trying to check-in for QF 437 tomorrow, ex SYD at 1330 - have been trying since 1330 today, and just now at 1403, getting the message: "Your flight is not open for check-in. Internet check-in is available from 24 hours until 1 hour before departure. [BR006]"

Qantas on line checkin still "up the creek" this morning! Seems like they just cant get it fixed.

I still haven't worked out why OLCI is available 24 hours before checkin, except in WA where it is 23 hours beforehand..

Only during daylight saving:
Bookings - Online Check-in

(although I think the wording is new!)

Online check-in is now available for Qantas and QantasLink Australian and New Zealand domestic bookings between 24 hours* and 1 hour before your flight departure.

Check-in from home, the office or anywhere you can access the internet and a printer.

* During Daylight Savings online check-in for flights ex Western Australia open 23 hours before departure.

I got "done" by OLCI this afternoon. Checked in last night as I knew I would be cutting it fine to make the flight, and got to the gate - initially green lights, then "beep beep". Directed to CityFLyer desk where my 23A became 36A!

Why? Switch of aircraft sometime after I OLCI'd! Ex BA 767 became international style 767 so 23A didn't exist:evil:

Moral: Always check a few hours before departure!

I agree it's a good idea to check back every so often for these situations.

Another one to look out for is when your in row 25 of a 767-338, it may get subbed with an ex BA 767-336 which is lacking row 25 completely.
