Oneworld Classic Flight Reward Discussion - The Definitive Thread

Have I messed up my Oneworld Classic Flight Reward booking?

today I called the call centre to add a flight to my existing booking and the points have gone haywire since. The booking looks fine and I have received the updated eticket but has this flight caused the issue?

IB1099 Madrid to Bilao - I can now see that it is operated by subsidiary, 'Flight Operated by Air Nostrum For Iberia'

Is this a problem? even though it has an IBERIAN flight number.
Grateful for expert advice. I was feeling so chuffed with myself for managing to get 10 flights booked!

No, it’s not a problem.

As long as you have a new e-ticket with the new flights, you’re good to go.

Don’t worry about the points… they can take time to sort out.

Thanks, appreciate your our response. Hard not to feel nervous but I will give it some time.
You had an original e-ticket. That has now been replaced with a new e-ticket with the new flights?

In that case, absolutely nothing to worry about from a ticketing perspective. Everything is confirmed.

It when people *don’t* get an e-ticket that they need to worry.

You should of course keep an eye on all your flights in case of schedule changes, etc, as you approach your departure date.

You said your points balance went haywire? Was that just crediting the old points and deducting the new ones?

Re the points going haywire, with this change to the booking one lot of 365,800 points has been credited to my account but as yet not deducted (there are 2 of us flying). With previous changes the points were credited and then deducted.

That happens. But the ‘payment’ is solely in the hands of Qantas, and doesn’t affect the ticketing in this case. The points can sometimes not be deducted for quite a while!

Interesting. Are the earn tables out for WY? And are those routes on 787's. They have a lot of 737's that are widely used on a lot of routes so just wondering. :)
Its crazy that they chose to launch SIN as a new route on the 737M8 when they fly to KUL on the 787-9 or MNL,BKK (twice daily) on the 787-9.

Also find it interesting that MXP is 787-9 but FCO is 737M8.

I’m thinking economy demand to BKK? And demand in both cabins to KUL? Lots of ME visitors to Malaysia.

KUL i understand, its also been there for a while but launching a new route into Singapore on the 737M8 seems like setting it up for failure. Country is used to having some of the best airlines setting up with premium widebodies.
