One way international awards on VS, EK, MH etc

As far as I can see it's not stated on the Velocity website but does the program allow for one-way awards on partner airlines...and if so are these priced at 50% of return rates? e.g. 128k points in J for AUS - UK on VS or EK?

I can see the question has been asked before on the Velocity FAQs - they don't seem to have answered it though.

I have bad news for you - you can't get one-way awards on Emirates or Virgin Atlantic via Velocity. I tried last year. Round trips only.

See clause 14.9 of the T&C.


What's worse is that I found with Emirates that it's very easy to find seats going one way but not the other, so it's almost impossible to redeem.
