You can buy entry to both those lounges. That isn't an invitation. Glad you had a great time but I know from my experience there last month from people on this very forum that posting photos is a no no. So I didn't post mine. That's all.

Thanks for the photo. It looks very quiet. No-one in there?

Are there any other photos?

Heaps....just google.

IIRC even the architect has it on their web site. I've seen a few on TR over on FT......no biggie.

You can buy entry into the CL too.

I think there is a world of difference between online publication of photos obtained by a patron of the CL and photos published by guests of QF courtesy of a sponsored competition who have been advised explicitly or otherwise that as part of the conditions of entry they cannot publish photos of said lounge.
If QF prohibited photos they would have a printed warning sign prohibiting the use of cameras and mobile phones at the entry similar to swimming pool changing rooms etc.
An airport lounge is just an airport lounge IMHO

Amusing how it's only the...more senior in age posters who are concerned about this. I've seen people post photos from the CL on Instagram, quite a few times - with the hashtag just to make sure everyone can see it!

Qantas acknowledges it exists, and the days of silos of information are past us. It's a single photo of an empty airport lounge.

Some nice assumptions about seniority of posters and their knowledge of social media there.

Correct me if I'm wrong but one of your posts did draw a link from your age to not understanding Twitter.

Yes. In between saying you don't understand Twitter and the interwebs.

I don't like twitter and detest that unrelated web forums want to link me into other unrelated websites. That alone doesn't make me senior. You presume I don't use other social media though, obviously. And such thoughts are not the sole domain of seniors btw. I'm finding more people shutting down their Facebook accounts because info is just thrown around. And the privacy issues of personal photos on Facebook /instagram are stopping many from posting them anymore v

It's an amazingly creative dotted line you have drawn from a poster who has the ability to defend the secrecy clause of CL access/privileges and the age and their knowledge if the internet based on a couple of forum posts?

Bad joojoo man.

Just going by what happened after the P1 launch way back, the photos had to come down. The issue is, once they allow unauthorised photos to be posted then Qantas lose some control. The other photos, as love-the-life had said, were composed. There was quality control and they were staged.

What ludicrous arguments have been posted here. We got to see pics of the CL, with no people in them, very similar to ones posted on a travel web site. How scandalous!! Alan Joyce would be frothing at the mouth, eh?

I don't give a rats a$$ what Qantas may like or not like about what is posted here. There were pics posted of the new Singapore Lounge pre opening (not a public, or even invited space). Not authorised, and not ad agency quality. Issues?

What's going on here? This degenerated very quickly over nothing.

You should be the forum police, "allo allo what do we have goin on here then aye" ;P

Sometimes this forum highlights why we put the W in WP ;)

Settle down, my original post was merely was a comment about someone getting all worked up over a piece of information that's pretty freely available. The same person who was proudly stating their lack of understanding of social media - where a lot of that information is.

Didn't mean anything malicious. Apologies if it came across that way.

No umbrage on my part - just pointed out that there was a small difference in publishing photos that were part of a commercial/professional arrangement with QF and ones where people were specifically told that they could take pics but they were not to be published.
