If 1A and K are the only row one seats, then it is the old F config. From memory they are a couple of metres apart.Hi Guys,
I'm flying to Haneda from Sydney in March next year & it looks like we've got the old config plane - read that having seats 2E & F on the seatmap mean its the old first cabin.. is that right?
I'm traveling with my wife & have selected 1A & 1K at the moment - how close are these seats and are those seats relatively private?

Can confirm they are within talking distance but not for an intimate conversation.
Great seats, you will not regret
On QF63 I'd definitely choose an "A" seat - those Antarctic views are excellent (assuming you fly far enough south/the weather is good).
Do PS status holders have any chance at selecting these old F seats?
Row 4 is usually available for selection.
Copy that, considering a positioning flight to JNB for the start of a DONE6.Your best chance is to select the most desirable seat available and then continue to check until check in for any newly available seats.
it is pure luck as to what you get - we did JNB return twice last year and didn't get the old config once, although did get it the previous year.Copy that, considering a positioning flight to JNB for the start of a DONE6.
