Hi Guys,

I'm flying to Haneda from Sydney in March next year & it looks like we've got the old config plane - read that having seats 2E & F on the seatmap mean its the old first cabin.. is that right?

I'm traveling with my wife & have selected 1A & 1K at the moment - how close are these seats and are those seats relatively private?

Best

If 1A and K are the only row one seats, then it is the old F config. From memory they are a couple of metres apart.

Can confirm they are within talking distance but not for an intimate conversation.

Great seats, you will not regret :-)

On QF63 I'd definitely choose an "A" seat - those Antarctic views are excellent (assuming you fly far enough south/the weather is good).

I've had great views of the sea ice from the other side of the plane on QF63 (about 60 rows back in aisle K). Don't know if I was lucky or just a good year for it.

Copy that, considering a positioning flight to JNB for the start of a DONE6.
it is pure luck as to what you get - we did JNB return twice last year and didn't get the old config once, although did get it the previous year.
