We had gelato from this place. The only time that the taxes have been included in the advertised price.Made it cheaper than other outlets we have tried.

Obviously Quebec red tape means the time of making must be on the container.

(Maybe you're joking, I'm not sure) I think the time is time of making the order at the register. Time is also shown on the English printed labels in other places where they don't just write the order on the cups.

Thanks to Mr Katie, I take a lot of notice in Starbucks, and we visit one everywhere we can. Within reason, in Tokyo it would only be for his two coffees per day, not every time we found one! :p

A bit of a rest and then time to go out to dinner.Went to the Bistro that was closed the night before.

The place really needs some TLC.Seating for 50 at a pinch which includes the outside seating. But the 2 wait staff were really good keeping up and only 3 in the kitchen but they produced the goods.Tonight we washed it down with an Italian Pinot Grigio.

Mrsdrron started with Foie Gras torchon and I the duck poutine. Both were really good.

Mrsdrron the had the moules et frites-were about 5 dozen so I helped out. They were good.I went for the pork Osso Buco. The pork was excellent and I enjoyed the switch.

Another recommendation.
Noticed a sculpture on our walk back.In keeping with the port area.

Back at the hotel a different view.

Later that night when writing up my TR I heard a ship's horn-it was the Scenic Eclipse leaving. This is a great place for a ship watcher!

Wednesday morning and we decided to explore the Rue Champlain area as it was close to the hotel.Little shops, restaurants and galleries plus a bit of history.

I on the other hand like to look on the bright or quirky side of life like a Lapin restaurant where I would have liked to have dined.
1567209095472.jpeg.
Maybe the rest of the lapin ended up here.
1567209137293.jpeg.
Like this fellow.
1567209205726.jpeg.
This bloke looks stuffed though.
1567209241136.jpeg.
Then there is the outrageous.
1567209277403.jpeg.1567209295260.jpeg.

Some things have more charm.
1567209346124.jpeg.1567209364654.jpeg.

Mrsdrron also seems to have a fascination for old men. This one playing a harp.
1567210023784.jpeg.1567210045607.jpeg.

But this one seems to being fattened up for something.

Mrsdrron then went back to the hotel to use up the spa credit we had whilst I went back to the Plains of Abraham.I cheated by catching the funicular up the hill but it still left 310 steps to go up to the Plains via the Governor's Walk.

You do get good views back up the river and over the city.

But what quietly dominates is the Citadelle which is still an army base.

Walking around the Citadelle you get some different views.

Then there is this fellow Cove who keeps popping up all over the world.
1567212733349.jpeg.1567212751630.jpeg.

I then walked down the hill and went to the museum of the Plains of Abraham. Now there was the history of the original inhabitants, the history of the French Colonisation and a large display of General Montcalm. But what I did not see-though I wasn't there that long-was any mention of James Wolfe who played a not insignificant part in the history of those plains.

I then proceeded back to the hotel via the old town.

The floral display was honouring the 75th Anniversary of D-day.
