I'm wondering if anyone has ever got Row 4 pre-assigned or offered as an option on a 737 when doing an OLCI?

I've never had it assigned or available on my booking yet, so I'm wondering...

I wish I could avoid them like the plague too. That's all they operate for some routes, unless you go Jetstar*, unfortunately! I doubt my spouse would be too delighted if I started travelling between places on a business jet.

*which I really do not mind and I would rather fly on an A320 anytime over 737, but unfortunately their schedule does not fit in with mine!

I had row 4 on a 737 pre-assigned with OLCI on a flight from Brisbane to Cairns last week.

As a QF WP checking in shortly after T-24h I have a strike rate of 3/3 for 4C/D on 73H's.

Ah, thanks guys. I guess I need to fly more to move one row forward then (I almost invariably get 5C or 5D). :D Here's hoping...

I have had row 4 assigned, but row 5 is much more common. However, most of my 737 flying is ex-Canberra and I get told that they reserve row 4 for last minute CL members. Certainly row 4 is often empty when I am in 5.

If you fly Virgin Blue you can allocate yourself a seat in row 2.

Sorry... ;)

Better half and myself got Row 5 on our flight back from PER yesterday. Row 4 was full, but 1..3 were utterly empty. As a result we got the J staff serving us in the front and since it was New Year's day, a freebie wine to boot!

Certainly one of my better domestic flights in cattle class.

Better still, Jetstar and row 1c. (I actually do that :D:D)

Indeed. Is it just my imagination or is 2D narrower than every other seat on the plane?

Oh, and what's special about Virgin Blue Row 2? I haven't flown on Virgin for ages.

Just a quick mention that in two cases I was already allocated one of those seats so did not have to move.:p

Free wine was the order of the day on New Years Eve as well (well at least to PER)

It's now 4/4 on 73H's and, yep, I was already allocated 4C!

(Couldn't realistically move anyway; the seat map was showing all seats down to row 10 as allocated/blocked.)

Ab-so-lutely nothing...

And funnily enough neither have I (well about 4 months). I fly pretty much on BFOD - is it my imagination or have DJ inched up their prices in comparison to QF and JQ?? because I'm getting a whole heap more QF flights! :p

I finally had 4C pre-allocated :D

I think it's been the WPs that have been hogging them! (And for the amount of flying they do, that's fair enough)

I was on a 73H this morning from SYD-MEL and when I tried OLCI I was given 4D. I changed it at the airport for 14A

I just OLCI'd my flight tomorrow evening SYD - MEL: 4A, Seq # 1. Plane looking full apart from some rows further back.
