Hi, Just a warning for all those travellers intending to get cheap car hire. I used Priority Car Rental back in February 2007 and the charge was duplicated on my credit card. I can't begin to tell you how much hassle I have had with this mob ever since trying to get my money back. It's like trying to draw blood out of a stone. It's been 2 months and I'm still waiting. They don't return calls and when I do finally speak to someone they say the refund has been processed but it never comes through. So watch out, be careful and avoid doing business with someone like this. More hassle than it's worth. Worst customer service I've ever come across. If you want any more info about this company, feel free to ask. Would hate for anyone else to go through this. I've spent heaps of money in international calls trying to resolve this and have got nowhere! New Zealand Car Rental in Auckland, Christchurch, Hamilton and Whitianga.

If anyone has any suggestions about how to go about getting my money back, I'd be grateful for suggestions.

Generally a duplicate charge is fairly simple to have reversed by the CC provider by contacting them and asking for the duplicate to be reversed.

Yup. That is what I would and have done. Very quick and simple process.

Credit cards which earn frequent flyer points is a popular way to earn frequent flyer points. You can receive thousands of points on everyday spend. And, many of these cards offer generous signup bonuses! Compare to find the credit card that best suits your needs.

Yep, did that about a month ago but they need to wait for their bank to get back to them with the vouchers and they haven't yet responded.

From that I guess you contacted the Hire Company.

You need to contact your CC provider (Bank etc.) to get the reversal.
