We were there last June and only got rain on our last day.

anyone been to tokyo in june?
i'm hearing its quite rainy and humid - so not necessarily the best time to visit?

I've spent around a dozen Junes in Tokyo, and no, it's not pleasant.

"Average" rainy season runs June 8 to July 21. First day has ranged between June 3 and June 10 the past five years.
Good thing I am planning to spend the Sunday indoors. ;)

QF62 & 511 booked. Cheers.

I called Qantas last night and they informed me that there was no way for me to check my bag early. Can anyone contradict them?

What time is everyone thinking of starting this lounge crawl?

I'm thinking of booking MH71 NRT - KUL departing 21:40 - not sure what time I can get airside...

Given QF62 NRT-BNE departs at 2050 we'll only be an hour ahead of you so shouldn't be too hard to find us. Just don't count on there being any decent champagne available. :)

There are no award seats on CX or JL in the evening to any city. There is a one-way flight HND-SYD-BKK on QF all the way for ~AUD950 but that could be torture and it is a different airport?

I'll keep searching for award availability.

some space on JL NRT - PVG IIRC

Booked MH71 departing NRT @ 21:40

In true AFF fashion, bought a ticket MH PHN - xKUL - NRT return for US$800!

So who's going to be in Tokyo the night before (i.e. 10 June)?

Any interest in getting together for a meal?

i'll be flying in that morning and flying out that evening lol...

I am arriving on 9 June (QF79) and have booked the Hilton Narita.
Tossing up whether to stay at the CP Narita on 10 June (cheap and handy for the IHG accelerate promo) or traipsing into the city and paying $$$ for a hotel. Decisions!

Gold->Copper now. Argentina vs Brazil 9 June @ MCG got me today...Narita will be next time :)

Jessica don't forget to pick up Royce chocolates from the kiosk at Narita. They are in the fridge and it is best to store them in the plane fridge on your return to Australia.

I doubt they would survive. I have a 3 hour layover in BNE, and a four hour drive after I get to MEL.
