Can't remember exactly when I purchased it, maybe early Jan.
Possibly mid Dec.
But then something somewhere mentioned I had till 31 Dec 14.
Never mind, I will keep trying to enter QP, noticed the notice in MEL, after I had
a).used the auto system in ADL QP, got green light.
b).got up to MELd QP via escalators, the man behind the first counter looked at my card, (card mentioned Dec 2014), and I got in. He didn't scan the card with the OCR reader.
I have got some flights coming up, will be 685 by 25 Dec, ... (will have non rev (using points) trip ADL to SYD to meet my final attempt at the 767 on 23 Dec), and that 767 flight on 23 itself, SYD to MEL.
Then VA MEL to ADL.
Will try to enter ADL QP again, and the SYD one too, ... and fly to PER (rev - then with that 15), it would be 700. Meaning QF SG.
Maybe the QF system is giving me hints to renew prior to end of Dec.

Lounge staff are diligent but lenient. My bet is your purchase was mid December. I've been granted entry 2 weeks after my QP membership expired. The 2 weeks seems to be an unannounced grace period incase you have been away from the home or office and have not checked your mailbox.

I didn't think the scanner in the lounge checked eligibility, just if you're checked in, ie have a flight that day. The card itself should be the proof of entry, if that says expiry is dec-14 then my feeling is you have until the end of the month.

QP membership is to the end of month.

Join on Jan 4th 2015 and you have 55 weeks before it expires on Jan 31st 2016.

Dec-14 would be 31-dec-2014 ...

For Medhead, I always thought that reader thing was for the purpose of checking the validity of the QP card.
For Serfty, I was surprised when I got the note on my QF account that the QP has expired, it didn't mention anything except RENEW NOW CALL 1311**.
Can't remember the **, is 32?
Anyway, when I drop back to PS/NB, I will definitely renew via here.
But for the time being, I will enjoy the benefits of SG, (have a LA flight coming back from AKL to SYD-so will use the SG benefits that way).
