Thai carrier Nok Air and Singapore’s Scoot have inked a memorandum of understanding to create a new mid- to long-haul low-cost carrier, called NokScoot, based in Bangkok.

“The new airline will be named NokScoot and will be based at Don Mueang International Airport. It will operate widebody aircraft on medium- and long-haul international routes. The establishment of the new airline is subject to regulatory approvals. Details about its fleet, products and route network will be announced at a later date,” the carriers said in a statement.

Easily the most ridiculous airline name I've ever heard of. Why dont they just stick with one brand like Nok and use it for their expansion. How many more lccs do we need in the region?
