ING Removing Savings Maximiser for New Applications from Dec 1 2026

Received an email today:

Savings Maximiser

Effective 1 December 2026, we will no longer accept applications for new Savings Maximiser accounts. This change is part of updates ING are making to review its savings product range. If you submit an application before 1 December 2026, we may continue to process it and open an account after that date. Customers can continue to use their existing Savings Maximiser accounts as they do today. This includes making deposits and withdrawals, and earning interest. Maybe it's not making enough revenue for them with the current environment of increasing interest rates?

I guess we’ll see what “enhancements” are coming…

Unfortunately I think the replacement will be the all new 'Savings Booster' account which requires growth of $100 each month
