Can anyone explain this to me....????
So we've made a booking on SQ in Premium Flexi (T Class) and now need to change the date.
However SQ are telling me that there is no availability. However, if I check online for a new booking, it still brings back the flight as an option in the same class at the same price.
They are telling me that there is only availability for new bookings and not for existing bookings. How does that work? Surely a flexible ticket can be changed if there is a seat available?

Hi, I would like to change a reservation please as I can't do it online
What type of changes you are looking for?
Kris
Date changes please
Customer
Let me check the availability first.
Kris
Premium economy
Customer
On flight for SIN-SYD is fully occupied.
Kris
But it shows availability online when I search
Customer
As per my checking that flight is full.
Kris
Are you searching for the flights as 2 seperate legs?
Customer
CPT - SIN and then SIN - SYD as a multi city
Customer
Tried from both ways.
Kris
But why can I see the flights online?
Customer
Its for new booking.
Kris
Yes, whats the difference if its a new booking or a booking change?
Customer
You you're booking premium economy Flexi T class
Customer
??
Customer
Seats are available for new booking not for the existing booking.
Kris
So I can cancel and book new?
Customer
But there will be a cancelation fee applicable.
Kris
But that doesn't make sense, how can there be seats for new bookings, but not existing...? Either there are seats or there isn't
Customer
Seats are shown only for the passenger who is making new booking.
Kris
Because the seats availability for existing booking are full.
Kris
So whats the point of my flexible ticket then?
Customer
If I can't change to a flight that does have seats available?
Customer
Seats are subject to availability.
Kris
But you've told me seats are available
Customer
And seats are available in the same fare class
