I have flown JQi twice ex Syd to Sgn in J. It was great having access to Qf F lounge in Syd as a Plat member. Sadly this benefit will be.gone from 1 July.
PS Qf does not fly to Sgn hence the JQi flight.
I’d imagine if it’s an international flight number then international rules apply.Am I missing something? Book a JQ flight from SYD to MEL, it happens to depart from Sydney International - I can access the First lounge because lounge access is available on a Jetstar Domestic flight
I'm sure they will tighten up their words closer to the date.
Am I missing something, but isn't JQ part of QF. Robbing Peter to pay Paul?Is this a QF thing of a JQ thing? Does JQ pay for lounge access for each of its eligible pax?
I am in the identical position with a Jetstar flight booked back in January but after the 1st JulyBut it would have been very easy just to target the tag flights.
Personally not happy with the short notice.
I've got a JQi flight later in the year where at least part of my rationale to choose JQ over alternates was based on lounge access.

Yes - it’s already been specifically ruled out for access due to the international flight number. I expect these were part of the business case for killing off access in the first place! A solid delay and a bunch of WPs in the F lounge and the margin from the entire flight is erodedI’d imagine if it’s an international flight number then international rules apply.
I’d bet they have almost certainly nipped this in the bud
I highly doubt JQ would be funding entry to the lounge, except where it has been sold as part of a packageIs this a QF thing of a JQ thing? Does JQ pay for lounge access for each of its eligible pax?
No, They will not have access to the international lounge. It will be deemed an international flight.Am I missing something? But if you booked the max fare that doesn’t mean you have first lounge access, you could only access the first lounge if on a QF flight numberYou’ll still be able to access the FLounge on JQi in J if you purchase the Business Max fare..
Not.I am confused. I am flying JQ32 DPS-MEL in late May 2026 on a Flex Plus bundle (which is no longer sold). I have QC membership. Will I be able to access the partner lounge in DPS or not?

Unless this is spelled out explicitly I'm gonna assume that Business Max = J Lounge access only when on a JQ flight number, and only to specific lounges. You’ll still be able to access the FLounge on JQi in J if you purchase the Business Max fare..
