LMAO - they have no taste and are massive tight coughs... man... what the hell? Yes the Genesis is a nice car but for a Black Card holder??? really?

Hyundais actually rank very highly in the american male psyche. Top 20 Most Desired Brands in the U.S.: Men - 2011 (Buyology Inc) | Ranking The Brandsinda sad.

I love the way that everyone on the linked article is commenting how, yeah, really rich people are actually very modest, for security reasons truly rich people only drive 30 year old Datsuns and no-one rich would ever waste their money on a luxury car.

Then you look at the cars that the other 94% of Centurion holders are using - Merc, BMW, I think more people drove Ferraris alone than Hyundais. So the lesson is that these mega-rich people actually don't like cheap cars.

Anyway paying $4300 for a Centurion card would have to be the very definition of not spending your money wisely (IMHO and not having been invited). Someone spends almost as much on their CC annual fee in three years as the entire cost of their car??????:lol:

What that Americans are stupid lol I can just see all the Hollywood A Lister's in their new Hyundai's, no no man I don't want no Bentley I want a Hyundai.I will just have to trade in the 335i Convertible for a nice I30 so I can keep up with the A Listers

As for the card being a wast of money rechoboam Amex has covered the cost of my card every year with pickups and discount first class fares and other benefits so it's an investment I am happy with And I never try to wast money

Fair enough.

The article doesn’t state that the “black card holders” drive Hyundais. Just that they have one in their garage. I know several people with a mix of 6-10 cars in their garages and they can’t all be super cars. Sure there’ll be a Ferrari (or two) and/or an Aston, etc, but if you have more than a handful of cars then the chances are you’ll have some more modest vehicles in the mix. After all - you aren’t going to let your nanny pick up the kids in a 458 or let your housekeeper do the shopping in a DB9...

Homer I would imagine The Chauffeur would pick up the kids in the RR but you do see your point I will see if my house keeper would be happy in the Hyundai rather than driving the Aston Martin lol

It gets even more complicated when you’ve got a couple of houses and you need a nanny car, or two, at each one. Those little Toyotas or Hyundais start to look attractive for the price. :)

For what they are and the costs, Hyundais are excellent cars. When your wealth reaches to such high points, a vehicle becomes an expense, rather than an asset. It simply gets the job done, and when it's no longer fit for use, just replace it and consider any resale value as a bonus.

A financial planner once said "drive the cheapest car your ego will allow". Cars depreciate unless it is a collectors model.Hyundai are really doing well in America and also Australia.
