Hi,

Does anyone know if there are problems with AA not showing award flights on QF?

Today I was searching the QF website and found numerous award flights in J next February flying MEL-LAX and return on QF flights. Then I jumped onto AA and searched the same dates and got no J flights at all for the whole month, on AA or QF flights.

Also wondering if I rang AA would their operators be able to see the QF award flights and book for me if I can see them available on the QF website?

Most likely that QF haven't released that availability to partners

Do you have QF status? There's often better award availability for WP, SG, PS and sometimes NB.

Other airlines programs basically don't get access to these.

Other than that if ExpertFlyer shows award availability on QF then AAdvantage can generally be used to secure them.

It's most likely the case that there's just no QF availability.

Having said that, I have recently been able to book QF J award flights using AAdvantage miles which weren't showing on the AA website, but were on Expert Flyer. So yes, I think there are some problems with the AA website.

If in doubt, call American.

Similar story here. Have been checking every morning for something in November. Something popped up once, AA rep had it on her screen but could not book it.
