Nice wines I have drunk recently - Red or White

This is cut from a post ticklenow1 recently made on Auswine -

Went to Rockford and the Moppa Springs was actually my pick of the wines. ‘21 Dry Country Grenache better than previous releases. ‘22 BP better than has been reviewed and Rifle Range the pick of those two.

What are your thoughts? How was the VP?

A lazy noon-4pm lunch today with my elder son at PERfect Balthazar.

To kick things off with a dozen oysters each (with Bloody Mary granita today):

A cracker. Note the solera - apparently started in 2010 (Champagne Mouzon Leroux L'ascendant Solera NV | Wine More Cellars). Lovely flavoursome, textural wine that went really well with the oysters. Great food Champagne.

Then with the other four entrees to share:

Again, great flavour, texture and length.

Finale with beef and pork belly mains:

Still up there as one of the best in PERfect. MrsDaver6 and I do love a long lunch there.

Started off with the not so nice. The Jura sadly badly corked :( On to the Bierzo which is in much better shape thankfully.
