Nice wines I have drunk recently - Red or White

Have seen this being pushed pretty hard at several restaurants so finally gave it a whirl. I'd call it an entry level champagne. Decent enough if the price is right, but certainly not something I'd seek out.

At our local Dans they had that on tasting before xmas.As said it really is only an entry level wine at best.Penfolds should just stick to still wines.

possibly not the best example as cellaring was unknown and unlikely to have been ideal. Bouquet was pretty foul but it opened up and tasted decent after 30 min or so in the decanter Not bad for 28 yrs old

Cork failed miserably but the wine was good although I would probably preferred to drink it 5-10 years ago.

Just glorious. Wonderful nose. Other people’s notes “An incredible wine with aromas of dried strawberries, dried flowers, cloves, white pepper and limestone. It’s medium- to full-bodied with superb presence and intensity. The strawberry and mineral undertones go on for minutes. Great texture and energy. From Dijon clone planted in 2001. Organically grown grapes. Drink or hold. Screw cap”

I don't think it is a Zalto, at least not the standard Burgundy glass which I have. Bowl is too bulbous. I've seen these somewhere (else) but can't actually place the maker.
