Cold night with a delicious reverse seared ribeye steak. The 2012 is drinking really well now. Classic Penfolds. Still plenty of primary fruit on this with the added interest of secondaries. Drink now and over the next decade.

But it worked and was terrific.

2015. Far too young. Green, very tannic, needs another 10 years. An example the old Barolo production techniques maybe in very big Slavonian oak botti of 10k litres.

Grand Cru Corton from a lesser producer and what's considered a lesser vintage. Still great value given I picked it up for $65. A very enjoyable wine.

We started this limited release Semillon with our Friday Fry Up of flat head fillets, crumbed prawns and crumbed calamari. We finished the wine tonight with lime and lemon pork fillets. The citrus notes paired perfectly with the food on both days.
