WS Kabb '20 and GH GK '20 :) I didn't really dig the '15 museum release. Also, these must have been sitting in your fridge for ages?

WS seemed more perfumed across the board.

The day after I got this tasting pack from TWE I’ve caught a nasty virus which put me down for a while.

Still not 100% but at least I can taste properly and wanted to do it before TWC free shipping ends tonight.

Fabulous review @Whining&dining
Back in the 80's I purchased wine from Noon when it was owned by Drew's dad David. I now have some Noon going back to 09 so it looks like I need to keep it for a while and enjoy some decadent pleasure later.
Thanks Buzzard, the Noons certainly are big-hitters, I wouldn't be averse to ripping the scab off something from 2009 though, just read an interesting interview with Drew Noon and he quotes Murray Tyrrell, "...he used to say 'We drink our reds too old and our whites too young'" :)

Some nice reds at the meat and wine co. in Adelaide.
$30 corkage
• The Lane Heritage Shiraz Cabernet 2015
•Langmeil The Freedom Shiraz 2012
Both were beautiful, however the Lane was the winner.
The freedom was definitely the bigger wine and needs a few more years, whereas the the Lane was Peak.

Out of curiosity....why go there when you can go to Gouchos? Having asked this, I haven't been to Gouchos in a long time but memory tells me it is much better than Meat & Wine Co (in Perth at least).

Quite a tasty chardy tonight and something a bit different. It has the slightly lean profile compared to most Aussie Chardonnay (albeit a bit richer than a Chablis). I can taste the oak and some malolactic fermentation but still has a good citrus profile.

Agree, Gauchos is much better, however we hadn’t been to meat and wine co. before (anywhere in aus) and decided to give it a go.

Last couple of times we’ve been to Gauchos the experience was disappointing. Average steaks, bad service and they jacked up their corkage fee. Having said that, Meat & Wine Co are not much better (in Melbourne at least).

I rate both meat and wine and A Hereford beefstouw over gauchos.

Gauchos feels like a steak that would've been good 30 years ago.
