Nice wines I have drunk recently - Red or White

:eek::eek::eek::eek:
Stop the car . Stopppp the car
How did you manage that

I know - wish we’d got two more. I almost want to go back to NOU just to go through the dutyfree maze. It was the only champagne that had at such a great discount, I thought it must be an error, but they took my plastic and I took their wine :)

That’s unreal, defiantly should’ve got two more!

Started with the Alicante, dinner (roast chicken) will be with the 389 and nearing midnight, the Champagne.

Nice when at good friends house and we’re not cooking or driving

@buzz was very quick and posted it before I had a chance to correct @VPS

We’ve only half finished the 389. No decanting as its a youngster and the oak is long and strong. Hoping it stays that way

Going out to watch some early fireworks and back to finish it off

Daver6 what did you think about the Woodlands Cab Sav?

To be honest, didn't do to much pondering about the wine. Certainly a very good wine with oodles of potential. Had lots of that pencil shavings/graphite on the nose that you don't see too much in Australian Cabernet but more commonly in left bank Bordeaux. Plenty of dark fruit and finished long. Pretty chuffed that a friend brought it over.

Mrscove had a mocktail with elderflower in it. She really liked it. Often she asks for a virgin mojito.

Thanks CE - interestingly you put the LP first as a cuvee rose. We served up some Moet for Christmas lunch and my mid-70s FIL said that he could no longer tell the difference between the Moet and a cheap shampoo. I withheld the second bottle of Moet and served up an Australian Sparkling instead (which was yummy regardless).
