Nice wines I have drunk recently - Red or White

What was the VM price?

Nominally $29- delivered. It will benefit from time but I bought an extra case to consume while the other grows up. Tonight's is going down a treat.

I have to have something to drink while my cellar comes together :)

What was the VM price?

$29.90 for either the cab shiraz or the straight shiraz. Definitely will benefit from cellaring IMHO but also both drinking well now, as you'd expect from a premium label. For the price I got 2 doz of the cab blend and a doz of the shiraz. Now thinking I should have got more

Ok. Ta. I enjoyed the last one if a little young. I'll think of your dilemma while I have an night off red after a cataract op today. But I'll be less one eyed tomorrow and picking something nice for tomorrow night. Might investigate another of the Wynns from the doz I got.

Sat out last night in front of the fire watching the moon rise. Roast lamb and vege went down a treat with this Victoran shiraz.

This went down well with a BBQlast night, welcoming the inlaws home form their Icelandic adventure. Those volcanoes are so unreliable, they won't erupt when you want them to.;) image.jpg A little past its best, but well rounded and bearable. The wine, not the mother-in-law.;)

Celebrating my enhanced human bionic (well synthetic at least) content tonight (cataracts don't rule!)...

Excellent drinking. Very refind on the palate, well integrated fruit, silky purple tannins, lovely long finish. Gets better and better with time (unlike cataracts).

Part of a TWE special pack. Doubt it's worth the RRP though.

haha, looks good TheRealTMA, I would suggest the John Riddoch would need some time, although it does have a high RRP.

Trying a VM 2012 Iconic Secret Cab Shiraz tonight - low tannins and very easy drinking. It is a little cold so I will leave it to breath and come up to room temp for a bit before having another glassView attachment 51554

Having the last glass of this tonight - it has not improved with 24 hours, in fact I feel it it not as nice as it was shortly after opening. (It was very nice last night after it had come up to temp ) Now it has strong tannin and no fruit?

Have a bottle of this tucked away and really looking forward to it.
