News: Jetstar and Japan Airlines code share agreement on Australia-Japan services

So does this mean that if I buy a Jetstar ticket without meals & drinks on JAL metal, then I get the meal etc for free?

On sale now in Japan, (Actually i am in Korea today)
36,000 one way, 2500 yen less if you don't want food/drink/blankets etc

I am not sure there is anyone proposing to do it this way around. I suspect that JAL just want to earn some revenue on some Australian sectors it can't profitably run itself.

Maybe, don't really know what the motiation is but i did post a month or so ago about the loss of direct KIX-MEL flights by JAL, maybe they are using that aircraft on another route.
(That service ends 25th March 07)

Its a pity you can't get any QF or JL mainline service KIX-MEL anymore but thats life. JQ it is, and when i looked a couple of days after sales of star class tickets into the JQ flights i found not a single date in the whole year tickets were available (tried about 20 odd days up until Dec 07). Don't know why that was, 2 possible reasons i can think of:-
1.) everybody rushed and purchased before me, possible its actually a reasonably popular route. (Even CX service it via HongKong)
2.) all star class have been reserved for QF and JL to sell
3.) i guess it could also have been JQ holding back starclass tickets until a time closer to the flights start to make more money.
