New status retain outreach?

So my anniversary is Jan 31. I woke today to the following email. Anyone else seen this? When they were offering 120 000 points in exchange for retain I thought they were spelling that out in the email? Does this mean I would be able to negotiate something else or even a freebie?

The annoying thing is it's all moot and their software is clearly flawed as I'm 185 short and have a US trip booked for next week that will earn 280 so the whole thing is pointless.

"Discuss options" I'd be very interested to learn what points/$$ they associate to different requirements of Status Credits.... Even if you already know you're going to re-qualify.

Interesting: I received exactly the same mail today as well! I am currently on 990SC's but will have made another 240SC by next week based on the return from my current trip to HKG (including a 50% bonus). Apparently their algorithms need a bit of tuning. When I get back I think I will ring the number just to give them a serve...

Maybe they can't calculate the inclusion of any bonus SC included in upcoming travel. Without the 50% you'd land on 1150 which may have triggered the email

There is no point in including future travel as you haven't flown those sectors yet. Anything can happen. Plans change. Flights are moved or cancelled.
