Script running on multiple accounts, on a clean browser install in a virtual machine. They're really getting nothing from me except a few CPU cycles.

Worth it? Not really, even though it took 15 minutes to setup.
 
Just received an email:
As a result of some upcoming changes in the Australian web search market, from 3 December 2013, the Qantas Frequent Flyer Toolbar will use the Bing search engine instead of the Yahoo!7 search engine.

Yahoo!7 to Bing ... I thought that had happened a year ago ... (not that I would know as I avoid using either of them).

I think Yahoo!7 is "powered by" Bing anyway .. looks like they now just send the search direct to Bing.

I seem to be getting more invalid searches than I used to though - on search terms I would have thought would be legitimate.

Same, I was no where close to my 150 last month as I wasn't prepared to spend all day on it.
 
using 5 QFF accounts here and switching over when the searches become invalid, I suspect there is a limit on how many points can be earnt in a set period of time, this may also be linked to IP address tracking and cookies too...

Its a bit of mucking around I guess but its an easy 9,000 points p.a for around 25 searches a day

5 of my 6 accounts have been blocked. Still earning the 150 points easily over a month. Usually I copy the search I did in firefox and paste into chrome for the easy points.
I just wonder with the change to bing whether my other accounts have been unblocked.

I've found that when an account gets blocked, (we have four in this house) I switch to another one for a few days and then the other account unblocks - but then I do have to do only a couple of searches at a time with the unblocked account for a while so it doesn't get blocked again straight away.

Unfortunately I seem to always been in a rush at the end of month to search the last account and inevitably it gets blocked because I search too much too quickly.
 
How often do these points post to your QFF A/c ?. I only started using this toolbar in Jan and easily clocked up the 150 and have also reached 150 for this month
 
I'm surprised that my January points haven't posted yet. I hadn't used the toolbar for a couple of months but when I used it before, the points arrived much more quickly after the end of month.
 
Last month I think I got to 20 points... it was just too annoying to get any further, especially after my account got blocked temporarily, after doing legitimate searches too I might add :p
 
my account was blocked for many, many weeks... tried to reinstall a few times over a few weeks but nothing...zipppppppppppppppppppp

However a quick uninstall and move on and forget the whole thing was the cure ;)
 
I think they got enough out of us to either:
(a) totally bamboozle them (all those scurrilous searches)
(b) concern them (all the VA, CX, SQ searches)

All I had to do was wait...QFF TOOLBAR SEARCH 31JAN14 150 points just posted
 
I did also have some points post from early january.... but since my account was blocked for weeks, I uninstalled, so this is the last toolbar points for me until I can be bothered reinstalling it again
