New Qantas Toolbar - Earn Bonus Points just for searching

I find this whole toolbar thing creepy and demeaning to the Qantas brand. Can't imagine a huge return in it.

They may as well start putting google ads on their pages.

Total waste of time, points earned is almost irrelevant IMHO

Have to agree, although I'm not trying to stretch myself to think of new and unusual ways to add a point per search

I'm ok with the concept. I'm happy to have the opportunity to earn some points during ad breaks on my laptop. I don't have to get off the lounge and I can do it in my pyjamas. I don't have to spend any $ other than the small amount of electricity used for the computer.

Sure, it's not a huge number of points, but as I only search for things I'm generally interested in or things that I want Qantas to know I'm interested in, I see it as a some extra points that have barely required any effort at all.

Airlines in the US did this same thing long ago, it's nothing new or unusual.

26 points in one day for searching for textbooks. I'm happy with that.

Edit: Make that 70 points and counting in two days by looking up textbooks, medical conditions, shares and various Virgin products xD
If I keep this rate up I'll earn more points than a SYD-MEL this month!

Yeah yeah I know there's a points cap of 150 a month. But hey repetitive searches for Virgin and their various products 150 times a month for 12 months equals 1800 points!

I don't deploy just one strategy to earn points, I do them all. The race is won but putting one foot in-front of the other.
