New Qantas Amex promo - Free flight on application

Was an advertisement in today's Courier-Mail. I assume similar ads may have been placed in other newspapers with a slightly different offer (This one is Brisbane centric).

In summary:

If you take up the Qantas American Express Premium or
Ultimate Card and spend before 31 Dec 2006, you get a Qantas
Economy return flight from Brisbane to Sydney between January 1 and June
30 2007.

Flight promotion offer ends 3rd Oct 2006.

Application Number: 1300 667 290 [ Might be wise to check this number against today's Courier Mail. While it looks correct to me, I keep thinking it was 390 at the end[ (you must apply via this number to get the deal. Not sure if there are any web links available).

I think the older offer was better.

No annual fee for the first year. Plus 15,000points for any spend, and another 2,500 for any QANTAS spend.

17,500 will get you return to Brisbane (from SYD), with points to spare.
