First post so be gentle please. Motivated by the offer to join and get discount on my Qantas Club membership I have joined as a Free member. Since I have become self employed and lost my corporate discount the prospect of renewing my pass is weighing heavy. I am disappointed a twenty year loyal member doesn’t get any recognition or am I missing something?

(you’re not missing anything- you paid for a membership and received it, you stop paying you stop receiving it.)

As you will have no doubt read, AFF Gold membership will set you back $75 and the saving to Qantas Club will vary based on length of membership (2 or 4 years) and whether you are a current Qantas Club member (no joining fee) or expired member (need to pay the fee again). There are other benefits to AFF Gold that can be taken advantage of as well.

Will try my best.

I guess, if they offered discounts to every member that had been around for 20 years they’d lose a lot of revenue.

It might also be worth asking what the word loyalty means to you? For example, I joined QFF in 2009 but I’m already LTG – am I more loyal than you? Not trying to start a fight ;) I’m just interested why you think being a member of QFF for 20 years should lead to a discount on Qantas Club membership? 🤔

Welcome @Larrakeyah01 . Hang around and learn how to optimise your travels to aim for Lifetime Gold status. After 20 years of Qantas Club membership you must be well on the way to achieving that target. Then you get lifetime Qantas Club access for no additional cost, which is great when such membership fees come out of your own pocket as would be the case with self-employment.
