New JL HND First Class only Check in

It appears that to go with the launch of JL's new a350-1000 HND -JFK they have a new dedicated check in for first class passengers. They have stated that status won't grant access to this check in area.

When I checked in for JL37 yesterday, there was a small roped off section at the back of the JL check in zone closest to the main security checkpoint that had F signage (and oneworld emerald markings). There was a staff member at the entrance with a tablet checking peoples names against a list.
The staff member then redirected people who were emerald, but not flying F, into the next door area which had J/Emerald/Sapphire markings.

There is also a small room with a private security lane. Entry beside the J/status security entrance and exit next to the security repacking area near the customs desk.

Excellent. Pity more airlines don’t do this.

same way QR gets away with not letting emerald pax into their F lounges.

If the emeralds have priority and benefits over lower statuses, then it'd be all OK? JL has just decided to grant a separate priority to their F pax.

oneworld gives plenty of exceptions out.

Because there's still First Class check-in desks (but not in a private room), which I suppose is now effectively an emerald check-in.

In Haneda on Saturday they did have signs saying Priority check in JAl diamond members and OWE.
