Qantas Codeshare Partnership with Malaysia Airlines

From MH's LinkedIn, QF will also put their code on flights between KUL and SIN.
According to the MH Press release

Building on their longstanding ties through the oneworld alliance, this collaboration will see Malaysia Airlines place its ‘MH’ code on 18 Qantas-operated domestic routes across Australia, providing smoother onward connections from key international gateways to cities such as Canberra, Darwin, Hobart, and Launceston.

Meanwhile, Qantas will place its ‘QF’ code on Malaysia Airlines flights between Kuala Lumpur and major Australian cities – Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, and Sydney – as well as to Singapore and popular Malaysian destinations such as Kota Kinabalu, Kuching, Langkawi, and Penang.

It's interesting as I would have thought it would at least go through IASC and we would have seen it there. Couldn't see anything there.
Australia has an open skies agreement with Malaysia and Singapore so it doesn't need to go through IASC. Same as how you don't see Qantas applying to IASC for flight to New Zealand.

There are some exceptions to this with one example a recent Indigo codeshare to NZ which required approval as it involved a country without an agreement:

Didn't think the open skies agreement started until next year

How much of a premium is one paying for a QF number on a MH flight
This is what I found last night
ADL-KUL for when I want to go in J is $6700 on the QF codeshare or $3450 via MH direct.
YIKES!

Further to this I’m assuming that the QF codes are booked into Business Flex whereas the MH fares are $3450 in Business Basic but $6700 in Business Flex
Its actually far cheaper if I were to book with Qantas to go ADL-SYD/MEL-SIN-KUL than the direct ADL-KUL on the codeshare

As a regular SIN-KUL-SIN flyer on MH with QF status, I welcome this move.

However, the question is: when will the codeshares for this route be loaded? The domestic and international codes have been loaded online.

I'd be very surprised if you are able to book SIN - KUL on MH with a QF code. I'd expect the agreement to be for flights originating from Australia transiting through Singapore.

The problem now is that there aren't any QF code existing on SIN-KUL-SIN flights yet on MH to start.

I'm sure im able to find a shady TA somewhere in chinatown that'll be able to ticket that for me hahaha

No what i meant is that the QF codes are supposedly coming for connecting for SIN- KUL as some have posted, but I'd be very surprised if you could ticket a QF code with just a flight originating in SIN. It'll almost certainly have the requirement to originate from an Australian port.

This is quite common globally with lots of codeshares.

I'll just leave this here and say surely no one is stupid enough to book the QF code share?

Something weird is going on. ITA matrix shows the $1477 for your dates, fare basis is QLASA.

But viewing that fare in expert flyer it says it should cost $326 (plus tax) which probably ends up at the same price as MH. Both ITA matrix and expert flyer say it’s Q class.

I wonder if something has been loaded wrong?
