📣 PSA: From 5am Tuesday 28 October, all domestic Qantas passengers will use the brand-new northern screening point located next to Qantas check-in and bag-drop.
This upgraded screening point features five brand-new security lanes equipped with Rapiscan CT (Computed Tomography) screening technology (also known as Standard 3) including body scanners and carry-on baggage screening.

🚧 After two years of construction on Brisbane Airport’s Domestic Terminal transformation, Qantas passengers will be the first to experience this new screening point, but rest assured that other travellers won’t have to wait long!
Work is well advanced on construction of a new mezzanine level in the centre of the Domestic Terminal, which will deliver 10 lanes of security screening capacity and is expected to open just before Christmas.
Progress also continues in the International Terminal to deliver the same Standard 3 screening technology to passengers before the end of the year.

Premium has the new machines already I thought.

I got yelled at a few weeks ago for leaving my ipad in the bag at the normal one, I didnt take it out a few days earlier in Premium.
Not sure if any new entry directions but.

Also its not open all the time...hence my differing experiences.

I used the premium entry with the newer style scanners yesterday.

From what I could see the non premium queues had the new machines as well.

It opened a week ago. Not sure why the press release now.

If you knew why did ask this then?? Im confused...

Because the PR release says all QFd pax will be using the new security point. I was just pointing out that pax eligible for premium entry can continue to use that, they won’t be using the new screening point.

It was a statement, not a question.

But premium pax will have to use the NEW IMPROVED QUICKER general part when Premium is shut, which it often is as we all know.

So that is still better/faster for everybody...was my take on the article.
