New BNE Passenger screening point

All worked Ok last night.
Its 50/50 for me...depends on the line length.

If no checked bags get off train and walk straight through into the new area.
You get into air con sooner...but then a long walk to Q Pub, which you then need to scan into.

If checking bags get off train go down to normal check in area and then through Premium Security and up escalator to Q Pubs....only 1 line.

This morning my bag was sent to secondary screening - twice

The newer security saves you time not taking out laptops, etc but it isn't faster. The congestion waiting to push your tray into the 'line' is slow and then waiting for the bag takes longer. Any every time my bag gets the secondary screening just so they can add it to their hourly count.

I have had very slow people in front of me and have to wait for those said peoples bags to come out before mine(after I have followed 1st slow person through body scanner)

The last time we went through we were literally the only people in the premium entry so it was super speedy.

Had that a few times, yet each time I get “randomly” selected for secondary screening! I often comment it’s not so random if I am the only option.
