Well I guess it makes sense, you wouldn't send your tech to the Apple store, there's no Windows there. Definitely get stuffy in there.
 
Has anyone managed to get the credit for the IHG offer? We made the spend across two separate signed up cards for a stay in early May, received the confirmation on one card, but no statement credit for either as yet.

Not yet. I had my IHG stay last week but only got the email that the offer had been used. Still no statement credit yet either.
 
In terms of the Hilton, Marriott offers would the pre-authorised transaction still come in even if you wanted to pay at the front desk? Or can you specifically request in the comments on file you want to pay at the front desk and the pre-authorised transaction does not happen?

During a recent IHG stay, the preauthorisation the front desk did at checkin triggered the IHG offer. Still waiting for the cash back - it‘LL be a week tomorrow since checkout but the final charge took a while to clear.

Meanwhile, I‘ve received one cash back on the dine month offer. Almost the full $25 in one sitting…

As mentioned above the pre-auth is usually processed by the property rather than Hilton/Marriott online. But if you want to be 100% sure, you can call up before the free cancellation period ends and ask to pre-pay the booking.

Called Hilton up and they acknowledged it. They will allow me to pay it all at check out after the incidentals are covered.

Pre-auths regularly trigger emails for me. But I never get the cashback until there the finalised charges are processed.

(Having said that, I haven't been using the IHG offer this time)
