New Amex statement credits

Last day for the Ampol/Caltex offer
Made an error and bought Wish cards from a WW (not Ampol or Starmart) Caltex shop and has tracked as Woolworths on Amex app so expect no credit
Edit:Receipt says EG so will see what happens

Good news! Woolworths service stations have been paying out.

If on Amex it says EG Fuelco nnnn then it will pay out. All 14 of mine did.

Went to my local ampol which is also a Woolies Metro.. Doesn't sell any gift cards... Oh no.. Fail for me
I found over about 10 stations:
Ampol WW or Metro-no cards
Ampol Starmart-Ampol Cash
Caltex WW -Wish + others
Caltex Starmart-no cards
Caltex standalone-no cards

I think this is correct.

I have prepaid Amex Offers for pay-on-arrival bookings before by calling the front desk, and it worked fine. I suspect - but can't guarantee - that a prepaid rate will pay out, if charged before the offer ends. If you do subsequently cancel, and a refund is forthcoming, they may attempt to recoup the cashback.

Also I think the Hilton offer - which I also have registered - was originally until 30/11/20 and then they silently extended it until 31/12/20. Note that the list of participating hotels doesn't include the DoubleTree Melbourne, which I had expected to use it for.
Has anyone tried this offer on the DT Melbourne?

Why would anyone pay 9.9% interest??
All those people who pay, in some cases, over 20% on their credit card balances each month I suppose.

The last time I looked (a fair while ago) I think the figure was 2/3rds of money spent on CCs was by revolvers (having outstanding balances for extended periods) vs 1/3rd clearers (pay off entire amount when due).

Just received a $100 “Cash Rebate“ on my Amex Explorer, no other details about it are known. Have I missed something?
