What they put, is not the long lasting expensive stuff.
Good carpets would not allow things to seep into it, ie, the $$$ spillproof.
They did the el cheapo, and also, part of it is that they are skimping on the cleaners duty, if they had a person who did floors vacuuming, even while the lounge is open, and had put in spill proof carpets, it could have been vacuumed up easily.
But I would say they have lumped the table cleaner to be the floor cleaner, to be the loo and shower duty cleaner upper, so it shows.
If they had consulted me, as a cleaner, I would have advised them for different items, more $$$, but long lasting.
Ta for the pixs tho, not unexpected.
Also, if they got a very very tight kpi for cleaners, tables also might not be cleaned up fast.
Next AFF person to go in, should time how long tables are cleaned up of plates, saucers, mugs, alcohol glasses, and tables wiped down.

In Qantas lingo I'd say the lounge is "not match fit".
It is match fit, and to purpose.
Nah, its exactly as to specification, if you put in cheaps, that is what you get.
Same as hotel rooms, ...
Or school classroom furniture, its not like your own home, where you can put in the good stuff and it lasts.
They put in the cheap stuff, so damage shows.
