Neil Perry menus - change coming? :)

I feel sick every time I read about employers potentially not doing the right thing with their employees. One of our staff members had no compulsory superannuation paid over a decade and the that employing company went bust.
Currently this is just allegations for this group.

I'm not a fan one way or another with NP, but I was under the impression he sold his stake and is just a consultant these days. The business then went on to buy Sake, one of the restaurants that has allegations levelled against it. If the practice has been ongoing there before the 'group' bought it, it's nothing to do with NP.

Perry sold his Rockpool Group to Quadrant private equity-backed Urban Purveyor Group in late 2016 for a reported $65 million, becoming the group's chief brand and culinary director and a significant shareholder.

maybe the Y menus will be done by underpaid workers and the J menus by chefs paid the correct hourly rates?

:D

I realise it's allegations still. That said, the paper reckons they have corporate emails advising workers not to record their real hours, which would be a pretty serious breach.

Well Jade Temple is closing, so maybe NP got out at a good time! Although if it gets really bad he will end up with a Trump hotel branding situation

This doesn't/won't affect the NP-QF relationship.

Probably not, but it could. If the 'Neil Perry' name got really stinky, then anyone who is leveraging it may have to reconsider. I think the 'relationship' is one of franchising the name, isn't it? I think the only claim is that their menus are 'inspired' by NP and he appears occasionally in publicity.

I'm not sure if he sold his catering business with the restaurants, I've heard he sort of does the occasional taste test when they come up with a new menu, a very removed executive chef patron sort of thing

Chef emeritus? :D

Will say its a wake up call for most to recheck your payroll and get professional advise to manage/improve.

I work for a good employer that wants to pay all correctly/think we're doing the right thing but we're currently getting outside audit/reviews that we're doing the right thing.
