Have you looked at flying QF SYD-MEL-LST-MEL-SYD on a red e deal ticket? Usually not too expensive and you’d earn 40 status credits.
Booking a round-trip Jetstar ticket to pretty much anywhere (e.g. OOL/AVV) and upgrading to a Max bundle should also do the trick with 20 status credits each way and, again, not too much money.
