Went to apply last night and saw that their website was already back to showing only 20k pts bonus. The link at the start of this thread was still live so used that. 10pm on 2 October should still get me the 75k right?

Got my new cards today...got a nice little NAB Amex spend offer of a $20 rebate with Telstra for a $20 spend (and same with Optus!).
It was pre-activated, so targeted to new card holders! Thanks NAB and Amex

So I should ask for a fee refund when I cancel as soon as my points are transferred? Will it matter that I am not a NAB account holder?

First spend 18/08/2016 - last spend 05/09/2016 - statement arrived late Sep when I was in Canada - pmt to clear was due by 04/10/2016 - I artrived back in Oz morn 06/10/2016 - saw stmt and called to say I was making pmt imm and not to levy any int or late pmt charges - they agreed - called back today after pmt rcvd and cancelled.

Did they ask you why you were cancelling and did you have to specifically request a refund of the annual fee.

Yes and yes - told them I have had dispute with VA and no longer wish to earn VA pts - agent then asked 'What was the nature of your dispute'? Ummm .......... none your business just cancel pls - and 'Will I get pro-rata refund Ann fee'? 'Yes we can do that' - good result!

NAB's having quite a few problems including being off line for a number of days. Are our accounts secure I'm wondering? Yesterday, I got a phone call from NAB outer space and had to spend 15 mins arguing that the account number for my direct debit was in fact correct and when she conceded I asked if that was an apology. And, they called my friend who has separate accounts to her partner and cross questioned her about whether her income included her husband's, and why had she applied for so many cards?

I have the same NAB ID, when I logged in today I can see my old card that was cancelled 22/8 (letter confirming received) still listed in my accounts?

I cancelled my card 2 weeks ago, got the letter last week confirming. They did say on the phone that the card could still remain in my account for up to 6 months. I have no idea why that would be the case but hard to argue with call centre staff.
