I just did an online application and on the last confirmation page it said the annual fee is $295. Didn't get a screen dump unfortunately so I'll see what happens.
That would be a game changer. I'd be on for this card if it was $295.

The NAB business card has a 100k bonus and a $295 fee - are you sure you didn't apply for that?

There may be something wrong with the application process.

Following the provided link you get to this page:

https://ols.nab.com.au/olcc-web/application.jsp?campaignID=MMX

On that page there is only one card to select:

'NAB Qantas Rewards Signature Card'

But I get the following message even when I select the only card available:

'Please note the following important information:
  • Please select a NAB credit card from the list below. If your preferred card is not listed below, please go back to nab.com.au/creditcard and start again. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.'

Sure. So many cheaper options for points out there. But if people want to pay more that there prerogative.

So Dr, in your view is 0.395c per point too much to ever be paying for QFF points?

I have from the start said its an expensive card and there are cheaper alternatives, however if you have exhausted other options then I don't understand how your then paying too much for the points by taking up this offer. As I said before, on a holistic level the purchase value per point is still well within being good value at 0.395c.

Yes. Now that I'm on the right form, I get that too no matter what browser I use.

What I have clearly indicated is that there are numerous offers out there where points are cheaper than this current offer from NAB. How much a person wants to pay for points reflects how much value they place on them. But in any case I have no idea why someone would pay more for points then they have to.

Did you miss this,

Out of curiosity then, what is your level of limit to purchase QFF points (notwithstanding there may be better deals out there)?
I have no self imposed limit. I go as cheap as possible. And would pay more if I needed the points. I would pay the .395 for NAB if I needed the points. But in practice I'd rarely pay more than .2.

I banked with NAB for around 10-12 years, signed up for this card a few months back (I think when it was at 75k points), and only two weeks ago closed both the card and the transaction account. Do you think there will be any issues applying for the card again seeing as there is no stipulation on exclusion period? Would they possibly just decline me because they can?
Similar to Dr Ralph, I have done 3 NAB's in the one offer period (within about a 3 month period). 2 for the same card, and one for a lesser card (ie smaller fee, smaller bonus). Never any problems.

Fair call, you don't have to do all 3 at once, just do all 3 in succession....
the game's changed a bit now you can't just rechurn the same card as easily as a year or 2 ago.....so need to work through the list in an orderly fashion.
For me its a long term game, as I'm buying for 4 (wish I'd discovered this before the 2 kids arrived), so need near enough to 7 figure balance to be built for each trip....so just patiently pick the cards off

But when you have exhausted all other sign up bonus options because of exclusion periods then it is the cheapest around.

o
Having a few NAB shares in your name or even your SMSF removes all these difficult calculations thank god.

Guess I better cancel the Qantas Platinum and reapply for this one
