Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

When I applied for a NAB card earlier this year, I found that the NAB system expects your FF number to be 10 digits. So if yours is not, you need to add the appropriate number of zeros in front of it to get to 10. That is what the person I spoke to on the phone said anyway when I called up to add it.
Yeah, oddly enough it does not advise you on the application form.
When I rang up a second time to check (the first time was done in a branch), the person started with some leading zeros upon verification.
Wondering why they would expect reasonable people to know that.

Indeed. I only found that out when I didn't get any points and NAB contacted me to tell me my FF number wasn't valid.

For those who have received this recently, I'd suggest to ring and confirm that they have your QFF no attached. Obviously there is the option to put it in during the application - however mine was not linked when the account was opened. Better off confirming than not.

Been battling the NAB customer service system for three months now, trying to get my QFF number linked and my bonus paid - there's over 100,000 at stake now.

Tried the phone, tried the complaints website, tried the credit card complaints. One big black hole.

Finally getting some traction this week, but it's still not close to being resolved.

Cheeky NAB. Applied for this card on Sunday night and just got a call advising that I wasn't approved for the Signature but I was approved for the Premium card (which only offers 25,000 bonus points). No thank you!

I requested a manual review but they wouldn't offer me the Signature so I have withdrawn my application and will try again in a few months.

90k posted before the second statement. Was charged the annual fee. As expected.

I just applied for it and hopefully I'll hear back in the next day or two. I only cancelled my last NAB CC 2 months ago so hopefully I'll still get the bonus.
I'm planning an F/J trip to Europe for late next year or early 2019. :)

looking forward to that video trip report !
:)
CX and QR F in the first half of next year (already booked) so I'd love to do JAL F and maybe even MH F on my second trip.
Then I've almost maxed out what I can do with QF points. :( haha

After applying last night, I was knocked back today. They approved me for the premium card (or whatever it was called) but I asked for my application to be withdrawn as the signup bonus wasn't worth it.
I might close my St george card and re apply in a month or so. Looks like I might have to actually pay for flights to the UK in the second half of next year and maybe plan for a points first award in the first half of 2019.

Quite a few seemed to be offered the lower points card i hope this is not a ploy on their part. I protect my credit score carefully so am hesitant to apply next week when my 12 months is up

What 12 months? NAB does not have this clause for this card type.

Why? Unless you are intending to apply for a personal loan or a new housing loan there's little value in doing this. And NAB doesn't have an exclusion period that I am aware of. Unless it is new.

I clearly am making an assumption about the 12 months although when i rang to check the closure of the last credit card she did say you cannot aplly to xx_x

Staff member may not know the details of the product they are selling me thinks.

I cannot see anything about an exclusion period here:

For those in doubt my advice would be to take a screen shot of the terms on the website and be prepared to use them should a problem arise in the future. But in my experience with NAB this is not likely to occur.

Did you guy receive the confirmation after applied for this card? I did not receive any confirmation letter after I submitted.

I applied two weeks ago. Got a message at the end of the online application quoting my application number and thats it. Two hours later, I discovered the new CC account already set up in my online banking. I did email my payslips but not sure if they even looked at it! The only correspondence I received came with the actual card.
