For those following along, Qantas/NAB gave me some points. I think they still owe me more and I am going to follow up.

Just got the letter in the mail. The offer is now limited to 50 transactions (as per above). Hardly seems worth the trouble. :/

I also got the offer today, likewise limited to 50 transactions. I will be making sure I make the 50 transactions - 5000 points is still 5000 points and won't be too difficult to accrue with everyday purchases :p

I also received this offer today. Seems they are getting more prudent in their offers. T&Cs indicates have to make a minimum of 3 transactions to be eligible for the bonus points, and transactions must each be $1 or more. If I can work out something(s) that I would be happy to have a small stock of close to the $1, then I'll gladly accept the bonus 5000 points. Thinking maybe bottles of Natural Mineral water from Woolies or Coles.

I wonder how much it cost NAB for 380k points.

I havent got this offer :( Maybe I spent too much on it.

That might be the case. I got the card for the sign on bonus points and haven't used it since, so I'm sure I was targetted for that reason, to try and encourage some transactions on the card.

Ah yeah fair enough. Since Ive had the card for 2 months' ive spent like 80k on it or so lol

5000 points as an incentive to use a credit card is not exactly enticing - plenty of better offers in the field for using existing cards, even right now. There could have been a more reasonable middle ground that actually encouraged proper use of the card like a 50,000 point limit with some reasonable exclusions.

I noticed when logged into internet banking today that I have an offer for 50 points per transaction on the NAB QF AMEX. Valid period from 18 March activate by making 3 transactions, capped at 50 transactions. My Earth is on holiday at the moment, new NAB Amex similar on holiday, so no big deal to pull this NAB card out and dust it off until the end of the month.
