Amex Platinum only. There's also the new Revolut Ultra which offers an unlimited LoungeKey membership, no guest privileges though. What other card options are there in Australia for Priority Pass? Preferably 10 or more complimentary per year, not this 2-a-year meagre business.
I'll be cancelling my Prestige-Premier monstrosity before my next renewal in Feb 2027.
Amex may get ideas and start slashing that benefit too, given there is no competition on the market. How dreadful.Amex Platinum only. There's also the new Revolut Ultra which offers an unlimited LoungeKey membership, no guest privileges though.
They’ve done this to the Platinum in a few markets, I believe Germany and CanadaAmex may get ideas and start slashing that benefit too, given there is no competition on the market. How dreadful.
Of course the consultants would let it, this is exactly what the banks do !
I was thinking of trying the complaints email address and seeing if that yields anything - at least then there's a written record of my protest against the change? Only thing I'm not sure of is timing, as technically nothing has changed yet... Does that make it a bit strange to be complaining right now?I agree. I renewed mid May and have used almost no benefits of the new card year. What do you suggest?
I guess I can ring and ask for a refund and threaten to complain to the financial ombudsman if they push back.
They already have when it comes to lounge access and priority pass.Amex may get ideas and start slashing that benefit too, given there is no competition on the market. How dreadful.
If you want to complain to the ombudsman you need to complain internally first. I’d be doing now, they have told you they are changing, now’s the time to complain about that change.I was thinking of trying the complaints email address and seeing if that yields anything - at least then there's a written record of my protest against the change? Different ombudsman but years ago I complained to my gas provider about the estimated reads as we changed from winter to summer tariffs. It meant too much was apportioned to the higher tariff. Over the phone they said too bad so I asked, "what's my next step, should I go to the ombudsman?" One minute on hold and they came back with a $300 credit. I was only after $35.however have always found the threat of going to ombudsman always gets action (they have to pay if you complain to the ombudsman, that might explain why).
