Had chicken sandwich in the first lounge Melbourne looked but did not find anything green! Unless your color blind then the green won't look green :D

AFAIK, it is OK to cut the outside mould off cheese, but not bread.

From a food handling course I did while a student and working at Coles, the mould vein can extend into the cheese block and be invisible (i.e. still growing/at an early stage of development). Cutting off the outside edges where mould is visible on a block of cheese does not remove all traces of mould.

Kangol - anything interesting to report via way of updates?

First of all, I wasn't hospitalised and didn't die. :D
It has taken some time to speak with customer care but I was offered a gesture of goodwill.
The matter appears to be taken seriously; I was told that the bread was within expiry and delivered that day.
Upon reviewing my photos, the one taken before eating it shows visible mould on the top part of the bun, indicating that it was overlooked by both kitchen and wait staff.
I didn't notice it, but if any of you have read The Invisible Gorilla you can understand why.
This won't deter me from going again - certainly look forward to my next visits.

No. I haven't been since then, all of my upcoming visits are next year. I doubt you'll have a problem. If you are concerned, just have a good look before you eat :D

AFF Supporters can remove this and all advertisements

Although I've just seen a report about coughroaches in the Sydney Qantas Club on the Qantas Facebook page which is quite disturbing.

you can thank a certain forum member here for that false and misleading report.

It hasn't been removed from the QF site

Thanks PF. Found the post.

So the original thread was on here, is called out as satirical when linked to from Qantas FB page .... only the totally satirical page has been removed from AFF because .... it wasn't satirical enough?

Qantas obviously think it was self-explanatory because they've not removed the post or the link ... just AFF?

Regards,

BD

Don't Qantas support this group? LOL letting the coughroach post stay as long as it did. How damaging...

Perhaps QF deem that the roach is obviously plastic. The original post, however, cannot be judged for it's satirical nature since it was removed.

Seems the Roo wins the humour stakes.

BD

I'll be honest. Reading the AFF thread (picture had already been removed at that stage) I was skeptical... I really though this would have been a plastic coughroach, in full gym gear, with a headband and leggings, doing a workout pose after eating too much delicious food (credit to a Rita Rudner comedy sketch about 30 years ago for that image!)

Sadly that's not what it was.
