Most efficient way of getting Kris Flyer Gold status

Hi,
Newbie here.
I was wondering if anyone knew the quickest way to get Kris Flyer Gold status.
I’m currently on the basic level.
From my research, a return First Class ticket from Sydney to New York on SQ ought to do it, but I’m not sure.
Any tips/ideas would be appreciated.
