JQ have apparently confirmed to a Mackay MP that the BNE-MKY route is being suspended, wonder what other routes will go?

Crystal ball here and pure speculation:
Busselton (to SYD and MEL) is suspended until September, truthfully I can't see them returning.
I can also see MEL-SIN disappearing plus international flights to Hamilton and Dunedin stopping once the subsidies dry up.
Longer term I wouldn't be surprised if CNS to NRT/KIX get switched to an A321neo (is this within range), and maybe even CBR flights ending (hand back to QF for more $$$).

Could be more medium term the XLRs are not far away.

787s are probably better used elsewhere especially with crew rest and more premium seating. They have large idle time on the ground in Cairns also.

Results out in a week or two should get some more colour on where the QF Group network sits. I’d say capacity will be relatively flat for the rest of the first half.

MEL-SIN is often cancelled or delayed. I totally agree that I can see this one gone. Particularly with using A321XLRs via DPS and some of them operating to SIN from DPS

Or simply reconfig A321LRs to introduce 20 Business Class seats for offering to Depansar/Singapore/Japan would have done the job.
This will also freed up XLRs from JQ for QF which they can be used for international and domestic services with more business class seats.

MEL-SIN has been operating for 16 years. Interesting that people here think it is going to be cut.
Back then they had Jetstar Asia and they didn’t have Scoot double daily to deal with today. It’s really just a pointless token route now.

I think with the investment in the 787 fleet the profitability line will be higher.

I think SGN they should just cede to Viejet. I’d like to see some newness to India, increase to Japan.
