I am heading to Milan and then Singapore for their respective Grand Prix this year.

If anyone is going and would like to catch up with a fellow AFFer, post away.
I have posted my flights in the Sept lounge thread to keep this thread for the races.

I have not yet bought tickets for the races so if anyone has experience on the best tickets/$ I would also appreciate the advice.

Lucky you, watching F1 in another country is in my to-do list.

My dad and I are heading to the Singapore F1, we managed to hook the following package (at the early bird rate S$788) before it sold out, so I can't help you in the tickets department. But happy to catch up if your free! We're staying at the Swisshotel Merchant Court as well.

The Padang combination is still available for S$698 (Fri/Sat/Sun - Bay/Turn 1/Padang), or just Padang for S$598 for the three days. Hmmm.
I am in SIN from Friday 21 to Monday 24, so there should be an opportunity for a cold Tiger or two.

Hmmm, someone mentioned the other day about maybe going up to Singapore for the F1....

i always use
www.gpshop.net
for my tickets, and we have used Patrick at this website for all tix - China/Malaysia/Singapore/Catalunya/Monaco. he is a fully authorised ticket seller for all things F1

Tickets aren't hard to come by if you miss out buying direct. Gumtree Singapore will always have tickets for sale, and most will sell them at cost or very close to.

Thanks for the tip. I will wait until a bit closer to the race in case there are discounted tickets. Assuming there are any, that is.

Jessica, I will be at Singapore but it will be a flying visit and I have a whole heap of people to catch up with so can't meet. Was keen to go to Monza but haven't booked anything specific yet. I will be in London so am looking at options for a weekend in Monza - send me a PM and perhaps we can meet up and sit together? :) Singapore may sell out in some stands but not others, but none of the European races except for Silverstone have been a sellout so should be easy to get tickets. F1.com have an easy on site pickup and I usually use them - beware as there have been some fans for Spa and Monza shafted by a couple of European ticket companies who went bust in the past week! (Details are on the forum at f1fanatic.co.uk)

I appreciate the advice drmikki. I have been keeping an eye on f1.com as the source for my tix. I am not keen to use anyone else even though they may advertise cheaper prices. This is a bucket list trip so don't want any hiccoughs.

I am still deciding Monza tickets, but I am swaying towards the main straight. Always happy to sit with another GP tragic.

I have booked Monza and will be in Right Lateral 26B.

Next stop, Singapore...

So far the possible meet ups are:

Monza mikew
Singapore boeta, pmdg7444

Lowjhg has suggested Friday dinner that way we can get to the track for the 2nd F1 practice at 21:30 if that suits. A possible suggestion for dinner is DB Bistro Moderne in Marina Bay Sands.

Sent from my iThing.
Why, because iCan.

Friday night's meet is at db Bistro Moderne at 8pm. Lowjhg has booked for 4 at this stage with him and me confirmed so far. If anyone else would like to come along let me know so we can adjust the booking if necessary.

A leisurely lunch on Sat/Sun might also be the go if people are interested.

My seats for the three days are Fri/Sat/Sun: Bay/Turn 1/Padang respectively. I will be staying in Chinatown.
