Missing points from stay

I had a stay in Sydney at the end of October, on which I received my bonus amenity points (before arrival no less), but nothing else since. Welcome drinks, upgraded early, good recovery for some issues with the room aircon...

Scarily, a couple of days after the stay I received an email from the hotel with another members name, membership #, and points balance! I immediately emailed back letting them know of what seemed to be a privacy breach; and heard nothing further.

However I'd still not received my points from the stay, and I phoned up early this week to IHG rewards, and the rewards centre was able to see my booking, and essentially confirmed my points went to another member who happened the same stay as me! They initially said they'd fix this and credit me, but called back an hour or so later informing me they'll have to send it to the hotel to rectify.

Still no sign of the points - has anyone had a similar situation?

Still no sign of the points - has anyone had a similar situation?
Yes, but in the opposite fashion. Every year for the past 6-7 years I get about 6-10 nights spread across 2-3 stays credited to my account from ICSYD. I can see all of the stay specifics as if I actually booked and stayed there. However, I last stayed at the ICSYD about 10 years ago, so I can only assume their systems are a bit whacky.

Of course, I write to the ICSYD every year to alert them to the undeserved stay credit and have them revoke it. 😂
