My daughter recently completed a round the world trip in classes M and B with the following itinerary (as shown in her ticket)

SYD-KUL MH122
KUL-NRT MH88
NRT-EWR NW6008
EWR-CDG CO56
LHR-AMS KL1010
AMS-HKG KL887
HKG-KUL MH73
KUL-SYD MH123

The ticket was issued by Continental Airlines.

Of all the sectors only the last two have shown up in her Enrich account and therefore she's going to have to claim for missing miles.

The issues that she has:

1) Of all the boarding passes that she held onto, she doesn't have the boarding pass for the SYD-KUL sector although she does have the baggage tag. I'm hoping that this will suffice.

2) For her NRT to EWR sector, whereas her ticket is showing "North West" she's only got a Continental Boarding pass (obviously a code share flight).

3) For her EWR to CDG sector it too was a Continental flight but it does show on the boarding pass her Malaysian Airlines Enrich number.

I'm interested in other's opinions who might have had some experience with the Enrich program and missing miles.

Enrich ask that you give six weeks for everything to show up.

You will need to provide a copy of the ticket in order to show what was booked, and what was missing. Including a copy of the luggage tag probably would not hurt :) But no personal experience with this!

Thanks oz_mark.

Actually the first two sectors which were flown on MH metal was done on December 15, Whereas the two sector which have shown up and were also flown on MH metal were flown on Feb 26.

So you should chase up. I am chasing up a flight (although was on MH) at the moment. Had four flights on one ticket, the third flight has not posted.

Will do so.

Curious to know how they will treat the NRT-EWR flt which was booked as a NW flt but was a CO code share one, as well as the EWR-CDG flight which was booked as a CO flight. As I said, the whole ticket stock was issued by CO.

Hi,

May i ask what type of RTW ticket is this? Can we still purchase this?

Thanks,
K.

Looks like a sky team RTW. There are also various airline specific RTWs that include some or all of these airlines. Which works best depends on what you need/want.

Hi,

Thanks for the info. I'm actually booked on a RTW with MH/VS. Doing: SYD-KUL-NRT-LHR-SFO//LAX-TPE-KUL-SYD
I'm buying Y tickets for SFO-JFK-LAX separately...

The biggest reason i went with that RTW is because i find it value for money to try out UC on VS. I have 2 long hauls sectors to try it...

Other objective was to go to tokyo.

I would actually prefer a RTW if possible to go to:
KUL,NRT,LHR,AMS,ZRH,ARN,CPH,SFO,LAX,JFK,LAS,MIA
But i couldnt find one that has the alliances at a affordable price:) Well in C anyways :)

Do you have any tips if i wanted to visit all those places or most of it anyways?
Maybe there is a RTW that does it?

Thanks,
K.

Seems a good candidate for *A RTW. Price much cheaper ex-BKK than ex-Oz.

Here is an example routing I just made up under 29k miles (so cheapest level) that includes some very nice longhaul products. Doesn't include Australia though (will need a higher fare to include Oz, perhaps even 39k mile limit).

map

the good longhaul product flights include SIN-NRT on SQ (not the new 77W though), NRT-LHR on NH, ZRH-NYC on LX, LAX-NRT on SQ or NH

Hi,

Thanks for that. Yeah i guess i need to find a return SYD-BKK to start and end the RTW :)

Is there a fare list for ex BKK and ex AUS?

Also is Oneworld recommended for the places i wanted to visit?

Cheers,
K.
