Hey.
I've flown Aus to Ireland with a return today that I've contacted KLM to advise I won't be taking due to illness - I have relevant Dr certs etc. The ticket details dictate that there's no changes/no cancellation/no refund. I can accept this, I'm pretty sure the fine print covers their end even to the point that they might charge me no show fees.

I have Comprehensive Allianz Cover specifically for this journey and I'm wondering if they're likely to cover my return airfares? Anyone have any idea? I haven't talked to them yet but I'm a bit worried. Anyone know if it's a pay first claim later situation, and how likely they are to come through with funds?

Thanks

You should inform insurance asap. Anything you do without their permission may affect your claim.

Agree that you touch base with them, it's likely that it will be a pay now recover later.

I found this product page: Travel insurance - Comprehensive Travel Insurance - Allianz Australia

The full PDS is available on the webpage. I'll post some extracts as you are not feeling so well.
